Patchwork Shelter appears like a small house that’s a collection of different memories and feelings. Layers of brushstroke build a thick texture and a sense of motion into the walls, like they were piles of paint and time. The greens on the outside render it organic and grounded, the warm and cool colors inside bring its life and personality. It makes me feel safe in something that is handmade and not perfect. It’s a space that seems safe to me, despite being rough and expressive
