"Guardian Wolf at Midnight" is a mixed-media sculpture designed to be a sanctuary for the spirit. Standing as a symbol of safety and comfort, this figure is crafted for those moments when life makes us feel small or weak. While his wild hair, massive hands, and rugged textures give him a "scary" or formidable silhouette, his presence is intentionally rooted in the "happy, warm, and calm" environment I strive to create in my art.
By combining hand-sewn details with bold, deep blue tones, I use "art supplies in new ways" to tap into childhood memories and the strength of faith. He is a reminder that even in the "Blue Hour"—those times of fear or confusion—we are never truly alone. This piece seeks to give the viewer hope and a sense of connection, proving that true strength is often found in the things that protect us when we are at our most vulnerable.
